Live life to the fullest

It’s sadly too common for all of us, that at some stage one may go through the occasionally “rough” time. It’s been nearly two weeks since my last blog post…

My father was recently diagnosed with the dreaded c-word and last week had a lifesaving operation. Life suddenly became a whirlwind of worry, fear, sleepless nights and frequent hospital visits. I am so thankful that now he’s at home recovering, but it hit me hard how precious life is, and sometimes you simply have to stop, put everything in to perspective, realise what makes you happy and what makes you sad and where changes need to be made (relationships, work, health – whatever) – then make them. Easier said than done I know!

During one of my many sleepless nights recently, I began to daydream about one of my favourite passions – travel – and I really have been so fortunate enough throughout my life to visit some amazing places. (And recent life events has given me even more desire to travel more – and as quickly as I can afford to!)

I was once lucky enough to experience the magical world of French Polynesia – a faraway part of the world that oozes stunning beauty like no other – turquoise waters, playful stingray and the natural scent of vanilla in the air.

I wrote a travel review for hellomagazine.com some time ago, and now I want to share it with you. If you are ever lucky enough to enjoy this paradise, then go for it – as you never know what life is going to throw at you…
