Spring/Summer 2016 Wish List

I know my blog isn’t “serious fashion” – there’s enough blogs out there to cover that – but I do like odd piece of fashion… I am allowed to enjoy style even if I am no style icon!

With January far gone (hurrah) and February’s winter chill hopefully coming to an end soon, I’m excited about spring – a new season to brush away the cold cobwebs and either dust down our colourful wardrobes or invest in new finds…

The End of Longing (Oh hey there Matthew Perry!)

19975_show_portrait_largeWhen an invite appeared in my inbox to preview the new play The End of Longing in London, I was a little apprehensive, as I normally am of plays. I have to be in the mood for a play (especially when it’s new and unknown) – unlike musicals which I am always in the mood for!

Within seconds my pulse was set racing when I realised that it was the eagerly awaited new play, The End of Longing, written by and starring Matthew Perry. (OMG!)

10 ways to help a friend in *genuine* need

The honey-obsessed, naive and rather slow-witted bear also once said, “Life is a journey to be experienced, not a problem to be solved,” as well as “some people care too much, I think it’s called love.” Despite the need to “think” ever so often, this charming Pooh Bear was always willing to help his friends.

You may have a friend or loved one who finds themselves in a “pickle” – i.e. loss and grief, a severe health issue, heartache, an abyss of anxiety and stress, a feeling of worry and sadness for a loved one, a marriage break-up, money issues, a job redundancy instigating a feeling of failure…the list of “pickles” amongst us all is endless (sadly).

Of course a cuppa, a chat and maybe a few tears is great therapy, but should you know someone who requires some extra special love and attention, here are some suggestions I have come across that are so wonderful, thoughtful and helpful in so many ways…
