Last weekend I spent in Liverpool for a friend’s hen party!
Her hens had it all planned – one big surprise from start to finish. They hired a house just a 5 minute drive from Liverpool town centre and spacious enough to sleep up to 16 people.
They decorated the place with homemade touches – including bunting throughout, a bespoke sign on the front door, name tags on the bedroom doors (preventing any “bagsy on arrival” nightmares) and a lovely glittery “A” on the fireplace (A is for Angela – btw)…

Elvis, Frank, Marilyn & heart confetti
I was very happy to see that I was put in a bedroom with Elvis and Frank Sinatra canvas wall art and Marilyn Monroe cushions. The hens didn’t even know I was a fan of them!
Angela’s hens pasted hilarious photos all over the walls throughout the house – from her baby days through to her drunken twenties, with a few hand-cut “meat and two veg” shapes strategy placed on the said photos…..(I spotted a rather suspect shape stuck to the face of yours truly in one photo!)
It was a jam packed but fun weekend – with dinner and drinks served by our butler in the buff (I mean, a buff butler?) 😉 – with fun hen party games and lots of Prosecco.
The next day we took a trip to Liverpool’s centre for a spot of brunch at Leaf, shopping, blow dries and manicures before a night of cocktails and dancing the night away at a variety of Liverpool’s hot spots including Aloha, Soho bar and Level.
And of course some things that go on tour, stay on tour, right girls?! 😉
