Outfit of the day? Or just what I wore today…

I haven’t got in to doing OOTD posts yet, and I realise most “outfit of the day” posts tend to feature *actual* people uploading photos of themselves wearing outfits, but that’s something I’m not *quite* ready to do yet. (Will I ever be ready to? That’s another matter…)

Anyway…

I had a fairly successful shopping trip last weekend (trust me I have a LOT of failed shopping trips – where EVERYTHING looks hideous bla bla bla) and there’s always a handful of “go to” stores that I can usually find a good mix of work and play outfits.DPs

Today’s OOTD from top to toe was from Dorothy Perkins – definitely a regular “go to” store for me – a work outfit set for a client breakfast meeting, followed by a busy day of internal meetings, then finishing the day seeing a gal pal for coffee:

  1. Lime and peach floral print dress – £26 (aptly named “Ditsy” – no comments please!) from the Billie & Blossom collection. I love the sweetheart neck line of this dress and the length shows just enough leg without revealing too much (rightly so in the work place, as well as disguising many bruises I’m collating from my weekly pole dancing lessons!).
  2. Jacket – £45. Black *faux* leather waterfall open front jacket. Being a fan of the occasional leather item in my wardrobe, this is my absolute fave jacket atm.
  3. Shoe boots – £29. Black suede with an ankle strap – and a modest heel (approx 2”), doable for charging around London!
  4. Lace trim socks – £3.  Simply black, simply cute – just to add an additional touch of feminine flair!

Hope you like!
